Securing your digital Intellectual Property (IP) protection in China is critical.

APPTUTTi offers an end-to-end service for the application and registration for your IP Protection Service. Our scope of services includes documentation preparation, application, registration and the monitoring of approval status until the release of official IP certification and publication of licensing documents.

Remark

IP registration and publishing licenses are strictly required for GAMES to be published in major app stores in China. Registration is NOT required for other types of apps.

Partner’s
Responsibilities

  • Complete partner account details and provide a copy of your official business license or personal ID

  • Complete submission of your app and check that it has been translated into Simplified Chinese

  • Submit the first 1500 and last 1500 lines of the source code of your app

  • Upload a special unblocked version of your app (test app file)

  • Make sure that your test app is free of any non-app related content ie. no banner and video ads, no developer and copyright information (including names, websites, copyright notice, staff acknowledgement) on landing or end pages, nor any screen interfaces inside the app

  • If the app requires user logins, the master user account and passcode MUST be provided

  • If there are in-app purchase billing points, all billing points MUST be unconditionally unlocked

  • Provide an authorization letter for the app. Please refer to our sample and template.

Key Service
Steps

  • Create the documents, including the official application form and the translated app introduction materials, in the official formats for the whole registration application process, based on the information and materials provided by the partner.

  • Submit the prepared documents and relevant materials to the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People’s Republic of China (SAPPRFT).

  • Closely monitor the status of the application process. The estimated lead time of the whole process is normally 180 days.

  • Once the certificate is ready, publish on the partner’s Dashboard.
